Clorox ReadyMop Liquid Cleaner, Refill, 24-Fluid Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12) Review

Clorox ReadyMop Liquid Cleaner, Refill, 24-Fluid Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)

I have both the Clorox Ready Mop and the Swiffer Wet Jet floor cleaning systems. In all but one respect, the Swiffer system is superior. Swiffer's "appliance" is sturdier, doesn't leak fluid (Clorox does), and the cleaner and pads do a better job with scuff marks and ground-in dirt. Where Clorox trumps Swiffer is scent. The Swiffer cleaning liquid smells like cheap perfume and the scent lingers for a couple of days. Ugh! The Clorox liquid has a light scent that dissipates within a few hours. Because the smell is so obnoxious, I only use the Swiffer product on my basement floor, and use the Clorox product in the kitchen and bath. If Swiffer would improve the smell of the cleaning liquid, I'd use it everywhere.

Method All Floor Care Lemon Ginger Cleaner, 25-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 6) Review

A neighbor recommended the method hardwood floor cleaner to me, and I was so pleased that I tried the "All floor lemon ginger cleaner". I originally purchased one bottle at Target, and was so pleased that I wanted the ability to have multiple bottles in my home so I would not have to drive 20 miles each way every time I needed more (not very green, and not cost effective). The cleaner has a wonderful odor, and does an outstanding job. No rinsing either! can I say more?method All Floor Care Lemon Ginger Cleaner, 25-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 6)

360 Degree Spin Mop & Spin Dry Bucket - Color may vary Review

360 Degree Spin Mop and Spin Dry Bucket - Color may vary
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was very hesitant to buy this product due to the price being a bit much just to mop the floor! I have bought every gadget out there to try and make cleaning the kitchen floor simple, quick and efficient. That includes the electric hard floor cleaners, every new mop on the market and even using two micro cloths under my feet! I was not sure if I was buying a quality product because the price of the Nana Cleaner was less than the one that was advertised on TV and also less than those sold on home shopping clubs. But this one intrigued me because it offered the extra mop head (the others charged extra for another mop head) and looked identical to the ones I had seen prior. I did not care that the bucket was gray only. I'm not going out to dinner with it...I'm only mopping the floor for Pete's sake! So I bought it.
I must say it has been one of the very best investments I have ever made. It makes mopping the floor SO much easier and quicker! I no longer dread the task and it's actually fun to spin the mop head around. The product works like a charm and is all it's meant to be. The quality is as good as the other ones out there and the extra mop head seems like a gift. I would highly recommend that you buy this for yourselves. Do it for you or for a loved one to make a dreaded chore 100 percent easier! The design of this product is well thought through and the ease of it's use is great! I have no further recommendations on how to make it better...other than to add casters to the bottom of the bucket..but it's great just the way it is,too!

New Hoover Heated Steam Vacuum Fingertip Clean Surge Function For Spot And Heavy Traffic Areas Review

New Hoover Heated Steam Vacuum Fingertip Clean Surge Function For Spot And Heavy Traffic Areas
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have a dog with muddy feet and the occasional accident, and large expanses of beige carpeting. Not a great scenario! I purchased the Hoover Steam Vac 2 years ago at a local big box retailer, because I couldn't wait for delivery. For a small investment, about two hundred dollars, I've saved thousands of dollars on carpet. Once I followed the instructions on assembly, it was very easy to use. I simply fill the fresh water container with hot water from the tap and 1T of oxyclean (not recommended by Hoover but works great for me!), assure the waste water container is firmly sealed, plug it in and turn it on. The motion is just like vacuuming, however with each pull you can see dirty water filling the waste container. When the container is full, the suction ceases and you have to empty the waste water to continue.
It's cleaned my carpeting better than any professional cleaning I've had, and I'm glad I can choose the cleaning agent rather than have toxic chemicals in my home. It's very handy when I feel my rugs are looking dingy and want to quickly clean before guests. There are only two drawbacks I've encountered:
-Occasionally, the main vac loses suction. Other buyers have indicated it has something to do with the airtight seal on the waste water compartment. If I'm in a bind, I'll simply slot in the handheld attachment, which works great but takes longer to clean with. The problem seems to resolve itself over time.
-The lever to tilt the vac handle broke early, like the first or second use. It's annoying to worry about the handle falling when storing the vacuum.
Overall, though, because of the convenience and effectiveness of the Steam Vac at such a reasonable price, I must give it at least four stars!

Hoover AH30285 Floor Mate 32-Ounce Tile and Grout Spray Review

Hoover AH30285 Floor Mate 32-Ounce Tile and Grout Spray
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have about 1200 square feet of 18" x 18" tiled floor to clean. The kitchen, dining room and the traffic patterns from the front and rear doors get much dirtier than the rest of the house. In the 6 years since the house was built, the tan colored grout has never received a thorough cleaning, so you can imagine that it was looking pretty dark.
I tackled the chore with 3 products: the Hoover AH30285 Tile and Grout Spray, an Oxo Good Grips 37481 Grout Brush, and a Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner, H3044. In my limited experience, the combination did an excellent job.
I found that the best way to use the Hoover Tile and Grout cleaner is to clean about 50 square feet at a time and then wash the area with the FloorMate. Begin by spraying a heavy coat into the grout groove. For really dirty grout, a light spray doesn't do the trick. Wait 4-6 minutes, and then scrub the grout with the OXO Grout Brush. Next, and this it important, wipe up the excess cleaner and loosened dirt with a sponge. I did the entire kitchen without wiping up the grout cleaner and found that the FloorMate would not remove the film that had dried on the face of the tile. I had to go over the entire floor with the grout cleaner, brush and sponge a second time, which was no fun at all.
I also tried leaving out the grout brush step, just to see if the Grout Cleaner and FloorMate alone would clean the grout. They won't.
I estimate that I cleaned the grout of about 450 square feet of floor. This took the entire 32 ounce container of Tile and Grout spray. Make no mistake; it's a labor intensive process. To clean the 450 square feet of grout and 1200 square feet of tile took me about 6 hours, with just a few short breaks.
The results were excellent. The grout looks like new, and the big advantage of using the FloorMate is that it sucks up all the dirty water, instead of just pushing it around, as you do with a mop.
